Samsung Galaxy XCover Pro is a bit better than the Samsung Galaxy S7 edge, getting a score of 81 against 78.1. The Samsung Galaxy XCover Pro body is newer than Samsung Galaxy S7 edge's, although it's noticeably thicker and incredibly heavier. Both of these phones use Android OS, but the Samsung Galaxy XCover Pro has the previous 11 version while Samsung Galaxy S7 edge has Android 8.0 Oreo.
Samsung Galaxy XCover Pro counts with a bit superior CPU than Samsung Galaxy S7 edge, and although they both have a 4 GB RAM, the Samsung Galaxy XCover Pro also has a greater number of cores. The Galaxy S7 edge features a little sharper screen than Galaxy XCover Pro, because although it has a quite smaller display, it also counts with more pixels per inch in the display and a better resolution of 1440 x 2560px.
Samsung Galaxy XCover Pro has a lot bigger storage for games and applications than Galaxy S7 edge, because it has a SD memory card expansion slot that admits a maximum of 512 GB and 64 GB internal storage. The Galaxy XCover Pro counts with a camera that's very similar to the camera in Galaxy S7 edge, because although the Galaxy XCover Pro has a much smaller back-facing camera sensor which provides a lot worse image and video quality, and they both have the same 30 fps video frame rates, a F1.7 diafragm aperture and the same (Full HD) video resolution, it also counts with a back-facing camera with a way better 25 megapixels resolution.
Galaxy XCover Pro has a bit better battery lifetime than Samsung Galaxy S7 edge, because it has 4050mAh of battery capacity instead of 3600mAh.
Although Galaxy XCover Pro is a better device, it costs more than Galaxy S7 edge, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as the Galaxy S7 edge. So if you need that extra features and specs, you can buy the Galaxy XCover Pro, else you can save a couple dollars and buy the Galaxy S7 edge, letting go some specs and features.
