Comparison review
The Galaxy Z Fold 2 has a general score of 94.6, which is way better than Samsung Galaxy S7 edge's 78.1 global score. Even though the Galaxy Z Fold 2 is extremely heavier than Samsung Galaxy S7 edge, it's a little bit thinner and much newer. Both phones we are comparing include Android OS (operating system), but the Galaxy Z Fold 2 has older 11 version while Samsung Galaxy S7 edge has Android 8.0 Oreo version.
The Samsung Galaxy S7 edge features just a bit better screen than Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2, because although it has a way smaller display and a little bit lower 1440 x 2560px resolution, it also counts with more pixels per inch in the screen. Galaxy Z Fold 2 counts with a very superior memory for games and applications than Samsung Galaxy S7 edge, because although it has no external SD slot, it also counts with more internal memory capacity.
Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2 features a little faster processing unit than Galaxy S7 edge, because it has more cpu cores and more RAM. The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2 shoots slightly better videos and photos than Galaxy S7 edge, because although it has a smaller aperture which is not favorable for low light images and video, and they both have the same 3840x2160 video quality and a 12 megapixels back-facing camera, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2 also counts with a lot bigger sensor capturing more light and vivid colors and higher video frame rate.
The Galaxy Z Fold 2 has improved battery performance than Galaxy S7 edge, because it has a 4500mAh battery size.
Although Galaxy Z Fold 2 is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than Galaxy S7 edge, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as the Galaxy S7 edge. If you prefer to save a few dollars, you can get Galaxy S7 edge, and give up a couple features, but you'll get the most out of your savings.
