Comparison review
Sony Xperia Z5 Premium has an overall score of 79.8, which is a bit better than the Galaxy S7 edge's score of 78.1. Both of these phones have Android OS (operating system), but Sony Xperia Z5 Premium has an older 5.1 version while Galaxy S7 edge has Android 8.0 Oreo. Although it's the best in our current comparison, Sony Xperia Z5 Premium is a heavier and a bit thicker cellphone than Galaxy S7 edge.
The Sony Xperia Z5 Premium counts with a way better screen than Galaxy S7 edge, and although they both have a display of the same size, the Sony Xperia Z5 Premium also has a way higher resolution of 3840 x 2160px and more pixels per inch of display. The Sony Xperia Z5 Premium counts with a bit better CPU than Galaxy S7 edge, because although it has a smaller amount of RAM, it also counts with an extra GPU and a larger number of cores (although slower).
The Xperia Z5 Premium has a slightly better camera than Galaxy S7 edge, because although it has a smaller diafragm aperture which is not good for low-light photography, and they both have the same video frame rates and the same 3840x2160 video quality, the Xperia Z5 Premium also counts with a larger camera sensor providing a higher image quality and a camera in the back with a way higher 23 mega pixels resolution.
The Sony Xperia Z5 Premium's memory to store more apps and games is just as good as Galaxy S7 edge's one, they have equal internal storage and a slot for SD memory cards that admits up to 200 GB. The Galaxy S7 edge features just a bit longer battery lifetime than Sony Xperia Z5 Premium, because it has 3600mAh of battery capacity.
Although Sony Xperia Z5 Premium is a better device, it costs a lot more money than Samsung Galaxy S7 edge, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as Samsung Galaxy S7 edge. So if you need that extra features and specs, you can buy the Sony Xperia Z5 Premium, otherwise you can save some money and get the Samsung Galaxy S7 edge, letting go a couple specifications.
