Comparison review
The Galaxy S7 edge has a global score of 78.1, which is just a bit better than Xiaomi Redmi Note 9's overall score of 76.6. Galaxy S7 edge is an noticeably older cellphone than Xiaomi Redmi Note 9, but it is thinner and a lot lighter anyway. Both of these phones work with Android OS, but the Galaxy S7 edge has a more recent 8.0 Oreo version while Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 has Android 10 version, so it gives some nice extra features and performance tweaks.
The Galaxy S7 edge counts with a bit better screen than Xiaomi Redmi Note 9, because although it has a little smaller screen, it also counts with more pixels per screen inch and a better 1440 x 2560 pixels resolution. Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 counts with a greater storage to install applications and games or saving photos and videos than Samsung Galaxy S7 edge, because although it has an external memory card slot that admits a maximum of 128 GB against 200 GB, it also counts with 64 GB internal memory capacity.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 has a bit better processing power than Samsung Galaxy S7 edge, because although it has less RAM, it also counts with more processing cores (although they are slower). The Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 features a much better battery life than Samsung Galaxy S7 edge, because it has 5020mAh of battery capacity against 3600mAh.
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 features a superior camera than Galaxy S7 edge, because although it has a tinier diafragm aperture, and they both have the same 30 fps video frame rate and the same 1920x1080 (Full HD) video resolution, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 also counts with a larger camera sensor shooting higher quality videos and pictures and a lot better 48 megapixels resolution back-facing camera.
Although Samsung Galaxy S7 edge is a better device, it costs more than Xiaomi Redmi Note 9, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as Xiaomi Redmi Note 9. If you prefer to save some dollars, you can get Xiaomi Redmi Note 9, and give up a couple features, but you will get the most out of your money.
