Huawei P40 is a bit better than Samsung Galaxy S7, getting an 86.4 score against 79.5. The Huawei P40 construction is much newer, but somewhat heavier and just a little bit thicker than the Samsung Galaxy S7. Huawei P40 counts with a little faster processor than Galaxy S7, because it has a greater number of faster cores and 2 GB more RAM.
The Galaxy S7 has a sharper display than Huawei P40, because although it has a little smaller screen, it also counts with a better count of pixels per inch in the screen and a higher resolution of 1440 x 2560. The Huawei P40 has a bigger memory capacity to store more games and applications than Galaxy S7, because although it has no external SD slot, it also counts with more internal storage capacity.
The Huawei P40 features superior battery performance than Samsung Galaxy S7, because it has a 27% larger battery capacity. The Huawei P40 features a much better camera than Galaxy S7, because although it has a tinier camera aperture which is not so good for capturing photos or videos in low light environments, and they both have the same video resolution, the Huawei P40 also counts with a lot bigger camera sensor capturing way higher quality photos and videos, a back-facing camera with way more MP and faster 60 frames per second video frame rates.
Although Huawei P40 is a better device, it costs a lot more money than the Samsung Galaxy S7, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as the Samsung Galaxy S7. If you want to save some money, you can buy the Samsung Galaxy S7, letting go a couple features and specs, but you will get the most out of your budget.
