Comparison review

The Sony Xperia 1 has a general score of 82.6, which is a bit better than Galaxy S7's 79.5 general score. Although Sony Xperia 1 is incredibly newer than Galaxy S7, it is a little thicker and somewhat heavier. Samsung Galaxy S7 has a bit better looking display than Xperia 1, because although it has a much smaller screen, a little lower display pixels density and a way lower resolution of 1440 x 2560, it also counts with way more brightness.

Sony Xperia 1 has just a little better performance than Samsung Galaxy S7, because it has a higher amount of RAM memory and a larger number of cores. Xperia 1 and Galaxy S7 both have very similar cameras, because although the Xperia 1 has worse 24 fps video frame rate and a tinier back-facing camera sensor which offers a worse image and video quality, and they both have the same resolution back-facing camera and the same (4K) video quality, it also counts with a larger aperture to take better low light images and videos.

The Xperia 1 has a much greater memory to install applications and games or saving photos and videos than Galaxy S7, because it has more internal memory capacity and a SD memory slot that admits up to 512 GB. The Xperia 1 has just a little better battery lifetime than Samsung Galaxy S7, because it has a 3330mAh battery capacity.

Although Xperia 1 is a better device, it costs a lot more than Galaxy S7, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as the Galaxy S7. So if you want that extra specs, you can buy Xperia 1, but if you don't you can save a couple dollars and buy the Galaxy S7, giving up a couple features and specs.
