Comparison review
The Apple iPhone 8 Plus is a little bit better than the Samsung Galaxy S8 Active, getting an 87.1 score against 81.9. Apple iPhone 8 Plus's construction is way thinner and a little bit lighter than the Samsung Galaxy S8 Active, although both were only released with a couple months difference. The Apple iPhone 8 Plus has a bit more powerful processor than Samsung Galaxy S8 Active, because although it has an inferior number of cores and a lower amount of RAM memory, it also counts with a 64 bits CPU.
The Samsung Galaxy S8 Active counts with just a bit better display than iPhone 8 Plus, because it has a much higher resolution of 1440 x 2960px, a higher number of pixels per display inch and a little bigger display. Apple iPhone 8 Plus takes clearer pictures and videos than Samsung Galaxy S8 Active, because although it has a smaller sensor giving a lower image quality and a tinier aperture which is not recommended for taking photographs in low light environments, and they both have the same 3840x2160 video quality and a 12 mega-pixels back facing camera, the Apple iPhone 8 Plus also counts with better video frame rate.
IPhone 8 Plus counts with a much bigger storage capacity for applications, games, photos and videos than Samsung Galaxy S8 Active, because although it has no slot for an external memory card, it also counts with 192 GB more internal memory. Samsung Galaxy S8 Active counts with a really longer battery duration than iPhone 8 Plus, because it has a 4000mAh battery capacity instead of 2691mAh.
Although iPhone 8 Plus is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than Galaxy S8 Active, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as the Galaxy S8 Active. So if you need that extra specs and features, you can buy the iPhone 8 Plus, else you can save a couple dollars and buy the Galaxy S8 Active, giving up a couple specs and features.
