Comparison review
The iPhone XS has a general score of 84.2, which is a bit better than Samsung Galaxy S8 Active's general score of 81.9. The iPhone XS construction is newer, much thinner and lighter than the Samsung Galaxy S8 Active. The iPhone XS and Galaxy S8 Active both count with quite similar screens, and although the iPhone XS has a quite worse pixels density and a lot lower 1125 x 2436 pixels resolution, they both have a display of the same size.
The iPhone XS has a more powerful processing unit than Galaxy S8 Active, because although it has less cpu cores , and they both have 4 GB of RAM, the iPhone XS also counts with a 64 bits processing unit. The Galaxy S8 Active has a much better storage for apps and games than iPhone XS, and although they both have exactly the same 64 GB internal memory capacity, the Galaxy S8 Active also has a slot for an external memory card that supports a maximum of 256 GB.
Samsung Galaxy S8 Active counts with a much longer battery lifetime than Apple iPhone XS, because it has a 50 percent greater battery capacity. The Apple iPhone XS captures just a bit better videos and photos than Samsung Galaxy S8 Active, because although it has a smaller aperture, and they both have the same 3840x2160 video definition, a 12 mega-pixels resolution back-facing camera and a same size sensor, the Apple iPhone XS also counts with better video frame rates.
Although iPhone XS is a better device, it costs a lot more money than Samsung Galaxy S8 Active, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as the Samsung Galaxy S8 Active. If you want to save some dollars, you can get the Samsung Galaxy S8 Active, letting go a few features and specifications, but you'll get the most with your savings.
