Comparison review
The Samsung Galaxy S8 Active has a global score of 81.9, which is just a bit better than the Google Pixel 3's 80 general score. Samsung Galaxy S8 Active is an older, extremely heavier and way thicker phone than Google Pixel 3. The Galaxy S8 Active has a little bit better screen than Google Pixel 3, because it has a better screen density, a higher resolution of 1440 x 2960 and a quite bigger screen.
The Google Pixel 3 has a little faster processor than Galaxy S8 Active. Both of them have a 4 GB RAM memory and 8 processing cores. Galaxy S8 Active counts with a much bigger memory capacity for applications, games, photos and videos than Google Pixel 3, and although they both have the same internal storage, the Galaxy S8 Active also has a slot for an external memory card that holds a maximum of 256 GB.
Galaxy S8 Active features a very superior battery performance than Google Pixel 3, because it has a 4000mAh battery capacity. Google Pixel 3's camera is just as good as Galaxy S8 Active's camera, because although the Google Pixel 3 has a smaller aperture, and they both have the same back-facing camera sensor size, the same 3840x2160 video quality and the same 30 frames per second video frame rates, it also counts with a better resolution camera.
Although Galaxy S8 Active is a better device, it costs a lot more money than the Google Pixel 3, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as the Google Pixel 3. If you prefer to save some dollars, you can get Google Pixel 3, giving up some specs and features, but you'll get the most out of your money.
