Comparison review
Samsung Galaxy S8 Active has a score of 81.9, which is slightly better than the HTC One M9's global score of 77.7. Samsung Galaxy S8 Active's design is newer than the HTC One M9's, but it's extremely heavier and just a little bit thicker. The HTC One M9 counts with a bit better processing power than Samsung Galaxy S8 Active, because although it has 1 GB lesser RAM, and they both have 8 cores, the HTC One M9 also counts with a graphics processing unit and a 64-bit processing unit.
The HTC One M9 has a bit better looking display than Galaxy S8 Active, although it has a bit less pixels per display inch, a lot worse 1920 x 1080px resolution and a bit smaller screen. The HTC One M9 shoots a little bit better photos and videos than Galaxy S8 Active, because although it has a much smaller aperture, and they both have the same video definition and the same 30 frames per second video frame rate, the HTC One M9 also counts with a way better resolution back camera and a bigger back-facing camera sensor taking higher quality photos and videos.
The Samsung Galaxy S8 Active counts with a much bigger memory for applications and games than HTC One M9, because it has a slot for external memory cards that admits a maximum of 256 GB and 64 GB internal storage capacity. Galaxy S8 Active has a very superior battery duration than HTC One M9, because it has a 41 percent more battery size.
Although Galaxy S8 Active is a better device, it is more expensive than HTC One M9, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as the HTC One M9. If you are trying to save a few dollars, you can get HTC One M9, giving up a few specs and features, but you will get the most out of your budget.
