Comparison review
The Huawei Mate X has a score of 89.4, which is slightly better than the Galaxy S8 Active's global score of 81.9. The Huawei Mate X is a a lot newer phone than the Galaxy S8 Active, but it's much heavier and a little thicker. The Samsung Galaxy S8 Active has a little bit better display than Huawei Mate X, because although it has a lot smaller display and a bit worse resolution of 1440 x 2960px, it also counts with a greater display pixel density.
The Huawei Mate X features a lot bigger storage capacity for applications, games, photos and videos than Samsung Galaxy S8 Active, because although it has no slot for an external memory card, it also counts with 448 GB more internal memory. Huawei Mate X has a bit more powerful processing unit than Samsung Galaxy S8 Active, and although they both have a Octa-Core processing unit, the Huawei Mate X also has 4 GB more RAM.
The Huawei Mate X has a little longer battery duration than Samsung Galaxy S8 Active, because it has a 13% more battery capacity. The Samsung Galaxy S8 Active shoots slightly better photos and videos than Huawei Mate X, because although it has a much smaller sensor capturing lot worse quality videos and photos and a back-facing camera with much less MP, it also counts with a larger diafragm aperture to take better captures and videos in low-light environments.
