Even being the best phone in our current comparison, Galaxy S8 Active is an older, just a bit heavier and somewhat thicker phone than the OnePlus 7 Pro 5G. The OnePlus 7 Pro 5G features a little bit better hardware performance than Samsung Galaxy S8 Active, and although they both have the same number of cores, the OnePlus 7 Pro 5G also has a larger amount of RAM.
Galaxy S8 Active features a little bit better screen than OnePlus 7 Pro 5G, because although it has a bit smaller screen and a bit lower 1440 x 2960 pixels resolution, it also counts with a just a little greater pixels density. OnePlus 7 Pro 5G counts with a much better storage for games and applications than Samsung Galaxy S8 Active, because although it has no SD memory card expansion slot, it also counts with 256 GB internal storage.
OnePlus 7 Pro 5G takes a lot better videos and photos than Galaxy S8 Active, and although they both have the same (4K) video definition, the OnePlus 7 Pro 5G also has a much more mega-pixels camera, better video frame rate, a larger camera aperture to capture better low light photos and videos and a way larger sensor taking way higher quality photos and videos.
The OnePlus 7 Pro 5G has a battery duration that is very similar to Samsung Galaxy S8 Active's battery performance.
