Samsung Galaxy A71 is a bit better than Galaxy S8 Active, with an 87.5 score against 81.9. Samsung Galaxy A71's construction is incredibly newer, somewhat lighter and extremely thinner than Galaxy S8 Active. The Samsung Galaxy S8 Active counts with a better screen than Samsung Galaxy A71, because although it has a little bit smaller screen, it also counts with a greater pixels amount in each inch in the screen and a better resolution of 1440 x 2960px.
The Galaxy A71's CPU is just as good as Samsung Galaxy S8 Active's CPU, and although the Galaxy A71 has a larger amount of RAM, they both have 8 cores. Galaxy A71 features a superior storage capacity to store more apps and games than Galaxy S8 Active, because it has more internal memory capacity and an external memory slot that holds a maximum of 512 GB.
The Galaxy A71 has a little longer battery life than Samsung Galaxy S8 Active, because it has 4500mAh of battery capacity instead of 4000mAh. Galaxy A71 captures much clearer photographs and videos than Samsung Galaxy S8 Active, because although it has a smaller diafragm aperture, and they both have the same 30 fps video frame rates and the same (4K) video resolution, the Galaxy A71 also counts with a way bigger sensor taking more light and vivid colors and a back camera with lot more mega-pixels.
Although Galaxy A71 is a better device, it is way more expensive than the Galaxy S8 Active, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as Galaxy S8 Active. So if you want that extra specs, you can buy Galaxy A71, else you can save some dollars and get the Galaxy S8 Active, letting go a couple features and specs.
