Galaxy S8 Active is a little bit better than the Galaxy J7 Max, getting a global score of 81.9 against 76.1. Even being the best phone in this review, we must tell that it is also somewhat heavier and somewhat thicker. The Galaxy S8 Active features a brighter screen than Samsung Galaxy J7 Max, because it has a quite larger display, a much better resolution of 1440 x 2960px and a higher pixel quantity per inch of screen.
Galaxy J7 Max's processor is just as good as the Galaxy S8 Active one, both of them have the same number of cores and 4 GB of RAM. The Galaxy S8 Active takes a bit better pictures and videos than Galaxy J7 Max, because although it has a camera with a lower 12 mega pixels resolution, and they both have a same size aperture, the Galaxy S8 Active also counts with a lot higher (4K) video resolution.
Samsung Galaxy S8 Active counts with much more memory to store more apps and games than Samsung Galaxy J7 Max, and although they both have a slot for external memory cards that supports up to 256 GB, the Samsung Galaxy S8 Active also has more internal memory capacity. The Galaxy S8 Active has greater battery performance than Samsung Galaxy J7 Max, because it has a 21% larger battery size.
