Galaxy Note8 has a score of 83, which is just a bit better than Samsung Galaxy S8 Active's 81.9 general score. The Galaxy Note8 is a somewhat thinner and a little lighter device than Samsung Galaxy S8 Active, even though they were released with only 1 months difference. The Galaxy S8 Active has a little sharper screen than Galaxy Note8, because although it has a little smaller screen, and they both have an equal 1440 x 2960px resolution, the Galaxy S8 Active also counts with a just a bit higher pixel density.
The Galaxy Note8 features a bit more powerful processor than Galaxy S8 Active, and although they both have a Octa-Core processing unit, the Galaxy Note8 also has more RAM memory. The Galaxy Note8 counts with as much memory capacity to install applications and games or saving photos and videos as Samsung Galaxy S8 Active, both of them have equal 64 GB internal memory capacity and a slot for an external memory card that admits a maximum of 256 GB.
Samsung Galaxy S8 Active features improved battery duration than Galaxy Note8, because it has a 21 percent greater battery size. Galaxy Note8 and Samsung Galaxy S8 Active feature extremely similar cameras, both of them have a camera in the back with a 12 megapixels, a same size diafragm aperture, the same video frame rates, the same camera sensor size and the same (4K) video definition.
Although Galaxy Note8 is a better device, it costs a lot more than the Samsung Galaxy S8 Active, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as the Samsung Galaxy S8 Active. So if you need that extra specs and features, you can buy Galaxy Note8, else you can save some dollars and get the Samsung Galaxy S8 Active, giving up some features and specs.
