Galaxy S6 Edge has a global score of 85.7, which is slightly better than Samsung Galaxy S8 Active's score of 81.9. Even though the Galaxy S6 Edge is older than the Samsung Galaxy S8 Active, it's construction is noticeably lighter and way thinner. Galaxy S6 Edge counts with a sharper display than Galaxy S8 Active, because although it has a little bit worse resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels and a little bit smaller screen, it also counts with a just a bit better pixels density.
The Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge features a bit superior processing unit than Galaxy S8 Active, because although it has a smaller amount of RAM, and they both have a Octa-Core processor, the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge also counts with a graphics processing unit and a 64-bit processor. The Galaxy S8 Active features a little bit more memory to store more apps and games than Galaxy S6 Edge, because although it has just 64 GB internal storage, it also counts with an external memory slot that allows up to 256 GB.
The Galaxy S8 Active features a superior camera than Galaxy S6 Edge, because although it has a lower video definition and a back-facing camera with way less mega-pixels resolution, it also counts with a larger diafragm aperture and a bigger back-facing camera sensor taking more light and vivid colors.
The Samsung Galaxy S8 Active counts with a much better battery life than Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge, because it has 4000mAh of battery capacity.
Although Galaxy S6 Edge is a better device, it costs a lot more money than Galaxy S8 Active, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as Galaxy S8 Active. So if you want that extra specs, you can buy the Galaxy S6 Edge, otherwise you can save some money and get the Galaxy S8 Active, resigning a couple features and specs.
