Comparison review
Galaxy S8 Active is a bit better than Galaxy S7, getting a score of 81.9 against 79.5. Even though Galaxy S8 Active is newer than the Galaxy S7, it is a lot heavier and notably thicker. Galaxy S7 counts with a little bit better screen than Galaxy S8 Active, because although it has a little smaller display and a little lower resolution of 1440 x 2560, it also counts with a quite higher quantity of pixels in each screen inch.
The Samsung Galaxy S8 Active counts with a much better storage for games and applications than Galaxy S7, because it has a SD extension slot that supports a maximum of 256 GB and 32 GB more internal memory. Samsung Galaxy S8 Active counts with a little bit better processing power than Samsung Galaxy S7, and although they both have 4 GB of RAM memory, the Samsung Galaxy S8 Active also has a larger number of cores.
The Galaxy S8 Active has greater battery life than Galaxy S7, because it has a 4000mAh battery capacity against 3000mAh. The Galaxy S7's camera is very similar to the camera in Galaxy S8 Active, and although the Galaxy S7 has a bigger back-facing camera sensor capturing better quality videos and pictures, they both have the same 30 frames per second video frame rate, the same resolution back camera, the same 3840x2160 (4K) video definition and a same size diafragm aperture.
Although Galaxy S8 Active is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than the Samsung Galaxy S7, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as Samsung Galaxy S7. So if you need that extra features, you can buy the Galaxy S8 Active, otherwise you can save some money and buy the Samsung Galaxy S7, letting go a couple specifications.
