Comparison review
Samsung Galaxy S8 Active is a little bit better than Xperia XZ Premium, having an 81.9 score against 79.8. Despite being the best in our current comparison, it must be told that it is also a lot thicker and a little bit heavier. Xperia XZ Premium has a bit faster CPU than Samsung Galaxy S8 Active. They have 8 cpu cores and 4 GB of RAM.
The Xperia XZ Premium features a much better looking screen than Samsung Galaxy S8 Active, because although it has a little bit smaller screen, it also counts with a better resolution of 2160 x 3840 and a better display density. The Xperia XZ Premium counts with just a bit better camera than Samsung Galaxy S8 Active, because although it has a tinier camera aperture which is not nice for taking photos and videos in low light situations, and they both have the same video frame rates and the same (4K) video quality, the Xperia XZ Premium also counts with a much better resolution back facing camera and a larger sensor capturing higher quality videos and pictures.
Xperia XZ Premium's storage for applications, games, photos and videos is just as good as Samsung Galaxy S8 Active's one, both of them have exactly the same internal memory and a slot for SD memory cards that supports a maximum of 256 GB. The Galaxy S8 Active features longer battery lifetime than Sony Xperia XZ Premium, because it has a 24% larger battery capacity.
