Comparison review
Samsung Galaxy S8 Active has a general score of 81.9, which is a bit better than Xiaomi Mi Max's 77.5 general score. Even though the Samsung Galaxy S8 Active is newer than Xiaomi Mi Max, it is a lot thicker and just a little bit heavier. Galaxy S8 Active features a much better display than Xiaomi Mi Max, because although it has a little bit smaller screen, it also counts with a way higher resolution of 1440 x 2960px and way more pixels per screen inch.
The Galaxy S8 Active counts with a little better performance than Xiaomi Mi Max. Both have a Octa-Core processing unit and 4 GB of RAM memory. The Xiaomi Mi Max features a much bigger memory capacity for games and applications than Galaxy S8 Active, and although they both have a slot for an external memory card that allows up to 256 GB, the Xiaomi Mi Max also has 128 GB internal memory capacity.
The Xiaomi Mi Max counts with superior battery life than Galaxy S8 Active, because it has a 4850mAh battery size. Galaxy S8 Active shoots a little bit better photos and videos than Xiaomi Mi Max, because although it has a worse 3840x2160 (4K) video resolution and a lot less mega pixels back camera, it also counts with a bigger camera aperture.
