Galaxy S8 Active is just a bit better than the Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 2021, getting a score of 81.9 against 76.7. Although it's the best cellphone in this review, it must be noted that it's also a lot older, just a bit heavier and thicker. Galaxy S8 Active has a bit sharper screen than Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 2021, because although it has a little smaller screen, it also counts with a better display density and a better resolution of 1440 x 2960px.
Samsung Galaxy S8 Active features just a bit better hardware performance than Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 2021. They have 4 GB of RAM memory and the same number of cores. The Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 2021 shoots much better videos and photos than Samsung Galaxy S8 Active, because although it has a tinier diafragm aperture which is not so good for shooting photographs in low-light situations, and they both have the same video frame rates and the same 1920x1080 video definition, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 2021 also counts with a much bigger sensor taking more light and vivid colors and a lot higher resolution back camera.
Samsung Galaxy S8 Active counts with just a bit bigger memory for games and applications than Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 2021, and although they both have the same internal storage, the Samsung Galaxy S8 Active also has an external memory slot that supports up to 256 GB. Galaxy S8 Active and Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 2021 both count with similar batteries.
