IPhone 12 Pro is better than the Galaxy S8, with a 92.8 score against 81.7. IPhone 12 Pro is a way newer and just a little bit thinner cellphone than the Galaxy S8, although it is somewhat heavier. IPhone 12 Pro counts with a bit more vivid display than Galaxy S8, because although it has a little worse resolution of 1170 x 2532px and a little bit worse pixel quantity per screen inch, it also counts with a little bigger screen.
The Galaxy S8 has a slightly bigger storage for games and applications than Apple iPhone 12 Pro, because although it has 0 less internal memory capacity, it also counts with a SD extension slot that admits up to 256 GB. Apple iPhone 12 Pro features a better performing processor than Galaxy S8, because although it has an inferior number of cores (but faster), it also counts with a 64-bit processor and a greater amount of RAM.
The Galaxy S8 has a little better battery lifetime than Apple iPhone 12 Pro, because it has 3000mAh of battery capacity against 2815mAh. IPhone 12 Pro counts with a bit better camera than Galaxy S8, and although they both have the same resolution back-facing camera and the same 3840x2160 video quality, the iPhone 12 Pro also has faster video frame rates and a larger aperture for better low light photos and videos.

So if you want that extra specs and features, you can buy the iPhone 12 Pro, but if you don't you can save a couple dollars and get the Galaxy S8, giving up a couple specifications.
