The iPhone 13 Pro Max is much better than Samsung Galaxy S8, with a overall score of 93.2 against 81.7. The iPhone 13 Pro Max body is incredibly newer and a little thinner, but also notably heavier than Samsung Galaxy S8. The Apple iPhone 13 Pro Max features a better performing processor than Samsung Galaxy S8, because although it has 2 lesser processing cores (although they are faster), it also counts with more RAM and a 64 bits processing unit.
The Samsung Galaxy S8 features just a bit better looking screen than Apple iPhone 13 Pro Max, because although it has a little smaller display, it also counts with a little bit higher 1440 x 2960px resolution and a quite better display density. Galaxy S8 counts with a slightly bigger storage for applications and games than iPhone 13 Pro Max, because although it has less internal storage capacity, it also counts with a slot for an external memory card that supports up to 256 GB.
