Comparison review
The Samsung Galaxy S8 is a little bit better than the Asus ROG Phone 8, with an 81.7 score against 79.5. The Samsung Galaxy S8 is an noticeably older cellphone than the Asus ROG Phone 8, but Samsung managed to build it extremely lighter and somewhat thinner anyway. The Asus ROG Phone 8 counts with just a bit better display than Galaxy S8, because although it has a lot worse resolution of 1080 x 2400 and a way worse pixel count per screen inch, it also counts with a larger display.
Asus ROG Phone 8 has a much better storage capacity for applications and games than Galaxy S8, because although it has no slot for external memory cards, it also counts with 256 GB internal storage capacity. Galaxy S8 counts with a much more powerful CPU than Asus ROG Phone 8, although it has a smaller amount of RAM memory, they both have a Octa-Core processor.
The Asus ROG Phone 8 shoots a lot better photos and videos than Galaxy S8, because although it has a smaller diafragm aperture, it also counts with a much more mega-pixels back facing camera, a much better video quality and a much bigger back-facing camera sensor. The Asus ROG Phone 8 has a really longer battery lifetime than Samsung Galaxy S8, because it has a 5500mAh battery size against 3000mAh.
