Comparison review
Huawei Mate X is a little bit better than the Galaxy S8, getting an 89.4 score against 81.7. The Huawei Mate X is a much newer device than Galaxy S8, although it's a lot heavier and noticeably thicker. The Huawei Mate X has just a bit better hardware performance than Galaxy S8, and although they both have a Octa-Core processing unit, the Huawei Mate X also has more RAM.
The Samsung Galaxy S8 has a slightly better looking screen than Huawei Mate X, because although it has a really smaller screen and a bit lower resolution of 1440 x 2960px, it also counts with a greater quantity of pixels per screen inch. The Huawei Mate X has a lot bigger storage capacity to install games and applications than Samsung Galaxy S8, because although it has no external memory card slot, it also counts with more internal storage capacity.
The Samsung Galaxy S8 takes a little bit better pictures and videos than Huawei Mate X, because although it has a lot smaller back camera sensor shooting way worse quality videos and images and a lot worse resolution back-facing camera, it also counts with a bigger diafragm aperture for better low-light photos and videos.
The Huawei Mate X counts with a much longer battery duration than Samsung Galaxy S8, because it has a 4500mAh battery size instead of 3000mAh.
Although Huawei Mate X is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than the Samsung Galaxy S8, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as the Samsung Galaxy S8. If you want to save some dollars, you can get Samsung Galaxy S8, and give up a few features and specs, but you'll get the most with your money.
