Huawei Mate X2 has an overall score of 89.1, which is slightly better than Galaxy S8's global score of 81.7. The Huawei Mate X2 construction is newer than Galaxy S8's, although it's a little bit thicker and incredibly heavier. The Samsung Galaxy S8 counts with a little more vivid screen than Huawei Mate X2, because although it has a way smaller display and a bit lower 1440 x 2960 pixels resolution, it also counts with more pixels per display inch.
Huawei Mate X2 counts with just a bit better processing power than Galaxy S8, and although they both have 8 processing cores, the Huawei Mate X2 also has a greater amount of RAM memory. Huawei Mate X2 has a better camera than Galaxy S8, because although it has a tinier aperture which is not recommended for low light images and videos, and they both have the same 30 fps video frame rate and the same 3840x2160 video resolution, the Huawei Mate X2 also counts with a lot more mega-pixels back-facing camera.
Huawei Mate X2 features a lot bigger storage to store more apps and games than Galaxy S8, because although it has no external SD slot, it also counts with 256 GB internal storage capacity. Huawei Mate X2 counts with a superior battery lifetime than Galaxy S8, because it has a 4500mAh battery capacity.
Although Huawei Mate X2 is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than the Galaxy S8, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as the Galaxy S8. So if you need that extra specs and features, you can buy Huawei Mate X2, otherwise you can save some money and buy the Galaxy S8, resigning a couple features and specs.
