Comparison review
The Huawei P40 is slightly better than the Galaxy S8, with a general score of 86.4 against 81.7. The Huawei P40 design is notably newer than the Galaxy S8's, but it's just a little bit thicker and heavier. The Huawei P40 counts with a bit more powerful processing unit than Samsung Galaxy S8, and although they both have the same number of cores, the Huawei P40 also has 2 GB more RAM.
Samsung Galaxy S8 counts with a slightly better display than Huawei P40, because although it has a quite smaller screen, it also counts with a greater number of pixels per display inch and a better 1440 x 2960 resolution. Huawei P40 counts with a greater camera than Galaxy S8, because although it has a tinier aperture which is not favorable for shooting photos in low-light situations, and they both have the same 3840x2160 (4K) video resolution, the Huawei P40 also counts with higher 60 frames per second video frame rates, a back-facing camera with much more mega-pixels and a lot larger sensor which offers a lot better photo and video quality.
The Galaxy S8 has a little bit better memory for applications and games than Huawei P40, because although it has just 64 GB internal memory capacity, it also counts with a slot for an external memory card that holds up to 256 GB. The Huawei P40 features longer battery performance than Galaxy S8, because it has a 3800mAh battery capacity instead of 3000mAh.
Although Huawei P40 is a better device, it is way more expensive than the Galaxy S8, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as Galaxy S8. If you prefer to save some dollars, you can buy the Galaxy S8, letting go a few features and specifications, but you will get the most with your budget.
