Comparison review

The LG Velvet has a global score of 87.1, which is slightly better than the Galaxy S8's global score of 81.7. The LG Velvet is a somewhat heavier phone than the Galaxy S8, but both have the same thickness. The Samsung Galaxy S8 features a bit sharper screen than LG Velvet, because although it has a bit smaller screen, it also counts with a better resolution of 1440 x 2960px and a higher pixel count in each inch in the display.

LG Velvet features a much bigger storage to install games and applications than Samsung Galaxy S8, because it has 128 GB internal memory capacity and a SD memory slot that holds a maximum of 1,95 TB. LG Velvet has a bit superior processing unit than Galaxy S8, and although they both have 8 cpu cores, the LG Velvet also has more RAM memory.

LG Velvet counts with a much better camera than Samsung Galaxy S8, because although it has a smaller diafragm aperture which is not favorable for shooting images and videos in low-light environments, and they both have the same video frame rates and the same (4K) video resolution, the LG Velvet also counts with a way more mega pixels camera and a lot bigger sensor shooting much higher quality videos and photos.

The LG Velvet has a much better battery lifetime than Galaxy S8, because it has a 43 percent bigger battery capacity.

Although LG Velvet is a better device, it costs a lot more than Samsung Galaxy S8, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as Samsung Galaxy S8. If you are trying to save a few dollars, you can get Samsung Galaxy S8, and give up a couple features and specs, but you'll get the most out of your money.
