Galaxy A42 is a bit better than Galaxy S8, getting an 87 score against 81.7. Galaxy A42's design is much newer than the Galaxy S8's, although it is heavier and just a little thicker. Galaxy S8 counts with a little better hardware performance than Galaxy A42. Both of them have a Octa-Core CPU and the same RAM amount.
Galaxy S8 counts with a much sharper screen than Galaxy A42, because although it has a quite smaller screen, it also counts with a much greater screen density and a much better 1440 x 2960px resolution. Samsung Galaxy A42 has a much bigger storage to install applications and games or saving photos and videos than Galaxy S8, because it has 128 GB internal storage capacity and a SD extension slot that allows up to 1000 GB.
Samsung Galaxy A42 captures much clearer photographs and videos than Galaxy S8, because although it has a tinier camera aperture which is not recommended for taking photographs or videos in low-light situations, and they both have the same video frame rate and the same video resolution, the Samsung Galaxy A42 also counts with a lot more mega-pixels back facing camera.
