The Samsung Galaxy S8 has an overall score of 81.7, which is a little bit better than Galaxy A8 (2018)'s 79.2 general score. Samsung Galaxy S8's design is just a little bit lighter and a bit thinner than the Galaxy A8 (2018), even though both were released only a couple months apart. Galaxy S8 has a bit faster processor than Galaxy A8 (2018). Both of them have a 4 GB RAM memory and the same number of cores.

Samsung Galaxy S8 counts with a bit better looking display than Galaxy A8 (2018), because it has a better display density, a higher 1440 x 2960px resolution and a bit larger display. Galaxy A8 (2018)'s memory capacity to install applications and games or saving photos and videos is just as good as Galaxy S8's one, they have the same internal memory capacity and a SD card slot that admits up to 256 GB.

Galaxy A8 (2018) and Galaxy S8 both have similar batteries. The Galaxy S8 captures a little bit better videos and photos than Galaxy A8 (2018), because although it has a back facing camera with much less mega pixels, and they both have the same aperture, the Galaxy S8 also counts with a way better video quality.
