Galaxy S22 Ultra has an overall score of 95.4, which is much better than Samsung Galaxy S8's 81.7 overall score. Even though the Galaxy S22 Ultra is much newer than Samsung Galaxy S8, it's extremely heavier and thicker. The Galaxy S22 Ultra counts with a sharper display than Galaxy S8, because although it has a bit inferior amount of pixels per screen inch, it also counts with a slightly better resolution of 1440 x 3088px and a larger screen.
Galaxy S8 features just a bit bigger memory to install games and applications than Galaxy S22 Ultra, because although it has 0 less internal memory capacity, it also counts with a slot for an SD memory card that admits up to 256 GB. The Galaxy S22 Ultra counts with a little bit better processing power than Galaxy S8, and although they both have a Octa-Core processing unit, the Galaxy S22 Ultra also has more RAM memory.
Galaxy S22 Ultra shoots way better photos and videos than Galaxy S8, because although it has a tinier diafragm aperture which is worse for low light images, it also counts with a much more mega-pixels camera, a much larger camera sensor taking more light and vivid colors and a lot better video quality.
Galaxy S22 Ultra features a much better battery duration than Galaxy S8, because it has 5000mAh of battery capacity.
Although Galaxy S22 Ultra is a better device, it costs a lot more than the Samsung Galaxy S8, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as the Samsung Galaxy S8. So if you need that extra specs, you can buy the Galaxy S22 Ultra, else you can save some money and buy the Samsung Galaxy S8, giving up a couple features and specifications.
