Comparison review
Galaxy S8 has a general score of 81.7, which is a little bit better than Galaxy S4's 79 global score. The Galaxy S8 design has the same thickness than the Galaxy S4, but it's heavier. The Samsung Galaxy S8 counts with a bit better performance than Galaxy S4, because although it has doesn't have an extra GPU, it also counts with a larger number of faster cores and 2 GB more RAM memory.
Galaxy S4 features a little more vivid screen than Galaxy S8, although it has a lot lower resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels, a quite smaller display and a little worse pixel density. Samsung Galaxy S8 shoots clearer pictures and videos than Galaxy S4, because although it has a back-facing camera with less mega-pixels, it also counts with a way higher 3840x2160 video quality, a way larger aperture and a bigger back-facing camera sensor.
The Samsung Galaxy S8 counts with a better storage capacity to store more games and applications than Galaxy S4, and although they both have exactly the same internal memory capacity, the Samsung Galaxy S8 also has an external memory slot that supports up to 256 GB. The Samsung Galaxy S8 counts with a bit longer battery life than Galaxy S4, because it has a 3000mAh battery capacity.
Although Galaxy S8 is a better device, it costs more money than Galaxy S4, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as Galaxy S4. So if you want that extra specs and features, you can buy Galaxy S8, but if you don't you can save some dollars and get the Galaxy S4, resigning a couple specifications.
