Comparison review
Galaxy S8 has a general score of 81.7, which is a little bit better than Samsung Galaxy S5's 80.8 score. Galaxy S8's body is way newer and just a bit thinner, but also just a bit heavier than Samsung Galaxy S5. The Galaxy S5 has a slightly better looking display than Samsung Galaxy S8, because although it has a lot lower resolution of 1920 x 1080 and a quite smaller display, it also counts with a little higher pixels density.
Galaxy S8 counts with a very superior memory to install applications and games than Galaxy S5, because it has a SD memory slot that admits up to 256 GB and more internal memory. The Samsung Galaxy S5 features a bit better processing power than Samsung Galaxy S8, because although it has a lower number of cores and a smaller amount of RAM, it also counts with an additional graphics processor.
Galaxy S5 counts with a little bit better camera than Samsung Galaxy S8, because although it has a much tinier aperture which is not nice for capturing photos and/or video in low light situations and a smaller back-facing camera sensor which provides a lower image and video quality, and they both have the same video frame rates and the same 3840x2160 (4K) video quality, the Galaxy S5 also counts with a lot more megapixels back-facing camera.
Samsung Galaxy S8 features a bit better battery performance than Galaxy S5, because it has a 7% bigger battery size.
Despite of being the best phone between the ones we are comparing here, Galaxy S8 is also by far the cheapest.
