The Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge has a score of 85.7, which is a little bit better than the Galaxy S8's 81.7 score. The Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge body is somewhat lighter and a little bit thinner than the Galaxy S8, even though it was released many years before. The Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge has a sharper display than Samsung Galaxy S8, because although it has a little bit lower resolution of 2560 x 1440px and a quite smaller screen, it also counts with a just a little more pixels per inch of screen.
Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge features a bit superior processor than Galaxy S8, because although it has a lower amount of RAM memory, and they both have a Octa-Core CPU, the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge also counts with an extra graphics co-processor and a 64-bits CPU. Galaxy S8 shoots much better photos and videos than Galaxy S6 Edge, because although it has a lower (4K) video definition and a back facing camera with way less megapixels, it also counts with a larger back-facing camera sensor which offers a higher photo and video quality and a bigger aperture for better photography and videos in low light environments.
The Galaxy S8 counts with a bit bigger memory capacity for apps and games than Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge, because although it has just 64 GB internal memory capacity, it also counts with a slot for an external memory card that supports up to 256 GB. Samsung Galaxy S8 features a little better battery duration than Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge, because it has 3000mAh of battery capacity.
Although Galaxy S6 Edge is a better device, it costs a lot more money than Galaxy S8, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as the Galaxy S8. So if you need that extra features, you can buy Galaxy S6 Edge, else you can save some money and buy the Galaxy S8, giving up some specifications.
