The Samsung Galaxy S8 is just a bit better than Samsung Galaxy S7 edge, having a general score of 81.7 against 78.1. Samsung Galaxy S8's body is newer and a little lighter than Samsung Galaxy S7 edge's, but it is also just a little thicker. Galaxy S8 features a bit faster CPU than Galaxy S7 edge, and although they both have a 4 GB RAM, the Galaxy S8 also has a greater number of faster cores.

Galaxy S8 counts with just a bit better looking display than Galaxy S7 edge, because it has a little bit larger screen, a quite better pixel number per inch in the screen and a quite better resolution of 1440 x 2960. The Samsung Galaxy S8 has much more storage for applications, games, photos and videos than Galaxy S7 edge, because it has a slot for external memory cards that supports up to 256 GB and more internal storage.

The Samsung Galaxy S7 edge and Samsung Galaxy S8 have extremely similar cameras, and although the Samsung Galaxy S7 edge has a larger sensor providing a higher image quality, they both have a F1.7 diafragm aperture, the same (4K) video resolution, a 12 megapixels back-facing camera and the same 30 frames per second video frame rate.

The Galaxy S7 edge counts with greater battery lifetime than Samsung Galaxy S8, because it has a 3600mAh battery capacity against 3000mAh.
