Samsung Galaxy S8 is a little bit better than the Samsung Galaxy XCover 5, with an 81.7 score against 78.1. The Samsung Galaxy S8 is an incredibly older phone than the Samsung Galaxy XCover 5, but Samsung managed to make it somewhat thinner and just a little bit lighter. Galaxy S8 has a much better screen than Samsung Galaxy XCover 5, because it has a way higher 1440 x 2960px resolution, way more pixels per display inch and a little bit larger display.
The Samsung Galaxy XCover 5 features a much better storage capacity to store more apps and games than Samsung Galaxy S8, and although they both have the same 64 GB internal memory, the Samsung Galaxy XCover 5 also has a slot for external memory cards that supports a maximum of 1 TB. Galaxy S8 has just a little better processing power than Samsung Galaxy XCover 5. Both of them have a Octa-Core processing unit and 4 GB of RAM memory.
Samsung Galaxy XCover 5 has a battery duration that's very similar to the battery lifetime in Galaxy S8. Galaxy S8 shoots slightly better photos and videos than Samsung Galaxy XCover 5, because although it has a back facing camera with a much worse resolution, it also counts with a lot higher video definition and a larger diafragm aperture for better captures in low light situations.
