Comparison review
The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2 is better than the Galaxy S8, having a general score of 94.6 against 81.7. Even though the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2 is noticeably heavier than the Galaxy S8, it's thinner and also noticeably newer. Galaxy S8 features a bit more vivid display than Galaxy Z Fold 2, because although it has a really smaller screen, it also counts with a way better pixels density and a slightly better 1440 x 2960 resolution.
Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2 features a bit superior CPU than Samsung Galaxy S8, and although they both have a Octa-Core processor, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2 also has a higher amount of RAM. The Galaxy Z Fold 2 takes slightly better videos and photos than Samsung Galaxy S8, because although it has a tinier aperture which is not so good for low light images and videos, and they both have the same 3840x2160 (4K) video quality and the same resolution camera in the back, the Galaxy Z Fold 2 also counts with a much bigger back-facing camera sensor which provides a lot better image and video quality and higher video frame rates.
The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2 counts with a way bigger storage capacity to install games and applications than Samsung Galaxy S8, because although it has no slot for SD memory cards, it also counts with 256 GB internal storage capacity. Galaxy Z Fold 2 features a way better battery duration than Galaxy S8, because it has 4500mAh of battery capacity.
Although Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2 is a better device, it costs a lot more money than Samsung Galaxy S8, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as Samsung Galaxy S8. So if you need that extra features, you can buy the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2, otherwise you can save some dollars and get the Samsung Galaxy S8, letting go some features and specs.
