Comparison review
The Xperia 1 III has a general score of 93.3, which is much better than the Galaxy S8's 81.7 general score. Xperia 1 III is a notably newer cellphone than the Galaxy S8, although it is somewhat heavier and just a bit thicker. Xperia 1 III has a bit better processing unit than Galaxy S8, and although they both have a Octa-Core processing unit, the Xperia 1 III also has a larger amount of RAM memory.
The Xperia 1 III counts with a bit sharper screen than Samsung Galaxy S8, because it has a just a bit better count of pixels in each inch in the display, a little bigger screen and a higher resolution of 1644 x 3840 pixels. The Sony Xperia 1 III takes much clearer pictures and videos than Galaxy S8, and although they both have a same resolution back camera, the same (4K) video definition and the same aperture, the Sony Xperia 1 III also has higher 120 fps video frame rates and a way larger back-facing camera sensor which gives a way better image and video quality.
Xperia 1 III counts with a way bigger memory capacity for games and applications than Galaxy S8, because it has a slot for an SD memory card that allows a maximum of 1 TB and 192 GB more internal memory capacity. Xperia 1 III has a much better battery life than Samsung Galaxy S8, because it has 4500mAh of battery capacity against 3000mAh.
Although Sony Xperia 1 III is a better device, it is way more expensive than Samsung Galaxy S8, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as the Samsung Galaxy S8. So if you need that extra features, you can buy the Sony Xperia 1 III, else you can save a couple dollars and get the Samsung Galaxy S8, resigning some specifications.
