Sony Xperia 5 II is just a bit better than the Galaxy S8, getting a overall score of 87.2 against 81.7. The Sony Xperia 5 II body has the same thickness than the Galaxy S8, but it is a bit heavier. The Samsung Galaxy S8 counts with a slightly better display than Xperia 5 II, because although it has a quite smaller display, it also counts with a greater pixels amount per screen inch and a higher 1440 x 2960px resolution.
Xperia 5 II counts with a bit superior CPU than Samsung Galaxy S8, and although they both have 8 cpu cores, the Xperia 5 II also has 4 GB more RAM. Xperia 5 II features a much greater memory for applications, games, photos and videos than Samsung Galaxy S8, because it has an external SD slot that admits a maximum of 1000 GB and 128 GB internal memory.
Sony Xperia 5 II has just a bit better camera than Samsung Galaxy S8, and although they both have the same 3840x2160 video resolution, a 12 MP resolution camera and a same size camera aperture, the Sony Xperia 5 II also has better video frame rate and a way larger sensor taking lot higher quality videos and photographs.
