The iPhone 12 Pro Max has a global score of 93.2, which is better than the Galaxy S9's score of 83.3. The iPhone 12 Pro Max design is incredibly newer and thinner, but noticeably heavier than the Galaxy S9. IPhone 12 Pro Max has a slightly better display than Samsung Galaxy S9, because although it has a bit lower resolution of 1284 x 2778 and a quite inferior pixels number per inch in the screen, it also counts with a larger screen.
The Galaxy S9 features a bigger memory capacity for apps and games than iPhone 12 Pro Max, because although it has only 64 GB internal memory, it also counts with an external memory card slot that allows up to 400 GB. IPhone 12 Pro Max counts with a greater processing power than Galaxy S9, because although it has 2 less processing cores , it also counts with a 64-bits CPU and 2 GB more RAM memory.
The Samsung Galaxy S9 takes clearer photographs and videos than Apple iPhone 12 Pro Max, and although they both have the same 60 frames per second video frame rates, the same resolution back facing camera and the same video definition, the Samsung Galaxy S9 also has a larger aperture to capture better low light photos and video.
IPhone 12 Pro Max counts with superior battery lifetime than Samsung Galaxy S9, because it has a 23 percent bigger battery capacity.
Although iPhone 12 Pro Max is a better device, it is way more expensive than the Galaxy S9, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as the Galaxy S9. So if you need that extra features, you can buy the iPhone 12 Pro Max, else you can save a couple dollars and buy the Galaxy S9, letting go a couple specs and features.
