The Huawei Mate 30 has a general score of 84, which is slightly better than Samsung Galaxy S9's score of 83.3. Huawei Mate 30's construction has the same thickness than Samsung Galaxy S9, but it is somewhat heavier. Huawei Mate 30 counts with a little faster CPU than Samsung Galaxy S9, and although they both have a Octa-Core processor, the Huawei Mate 30 also has more RAM memory.
Galaxy S9 counts with a little sharper screen than Huawei Mate 30, because although it has a bit smaller display, it also counts with a higher screen pixels density and a higher 1440 x 2960px resolution. Samsung Galaxy S9 features a greater memory for applications, games, photos and videos than Huawei Mate 30, because although it has just 64 GB internal storage capacity, it also counts with an external memory slot that holds a maximum of 400 GB.
Huawei Mate 30 takes much better photos and videos than Samsung Galaxy S9, because although it has a tinier diafragm aperture which is not so good for shooting pictures and/or video in low light situations, and they both have the same 3840x2160 (4K) video definition and the same video frame rates, the Huawei Mate 30 also counts with a back-facing camera with lot more mega-pixels and a much bigger sensor providing a much higher image quality.
