Huawei Mate 40 Pro has an overall score of 90.9, which is a bit better than the Samsung Galaxy S9's general score of 83.3. Huawei Mate 40 Pro's design is noticeably newer, but much heavier and just a little thicker than the Samsung Galaxy S9. Galaxy S9 has a little more vivid display than Huawei Mate 40 Pro, because although it has a little bit smaller display, it also counts with a better display density and a slightly higher 1440 x 2960 resolution.
Huawei Mate 40 Pro features a bit better CPU than Galaxy S9, and although they both have the same number of cores, the Huawei Mate 40 Pro also has 4 GB more RAM memory. The Huawei Mate 40 Pro takes greater videos and photos than Samsung Galaxy S9, because although it has a way smaller aperture which is worse for low-light images and videos, and they both have the same 3840x2160 video definition and the same video frame rate, the Huawei Mate 40 Pro also counts with a camera with a way better resolution and a way larger camera sensor capturing more light and vivid colors.
