Comparison review
The Huawei P40 has a global score of 86.4, which is a little bit better than Samsung Galaxy S9's 83.3 general score. Huawei P40 is a just a bit heavier device than Samsung Galaxy S9, but both of them have the same thickness. The Galaxy S9 counts with a bit more vivid screen than Huawei P40, because although it has a bit smaller screen, it also counts with a better resolution of 1440 x 2960 pixels and a higher pixel number in each inch in the screen.
The Huawei P40 counts with a little better performance than Galaxy S9, and although they both have a Octa-Core processor, the Huawei P40 also has a higher amount of RAM. Galaxy S9 has a bigger memory capacity to store more games and applications than Huawei P40, because although it has less internal storage capacity, it also counts with a slot for an external memory card that admits a maximum of 400 GB.
Huawei P40 captures much better videos and photos than Galaxy S9, because although it has a way smaller aperture which is not favorable for shooting pictures and video in low light environments, and they both have the same 3840x2160 (4K) video quality and the same 60 frames per second video frame rates, the Huawei P40 also counts with a camera in the back with a much better resolution and a way larger camera sensor shooting much higher quality videos and photographs.
Huawei P40 counts with greater battery life than Galaxy S9, because it has 3800mAh of battery capacity instead of 3000mAh.
Although Huawei P40 is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than the Samsung Galaxy S9, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as Samsung Galaxy S9. So if you want that extra features, you can buy Huawei P40, otherwise you can save a couple dollars and get the Samsung Galaxy S9, letting go some features and specs.
