Samsung Galaxy S9 is just a bit better than the Motorola Edge (2024), having a general score of 83.3 against 78.5. Even though the Samsung Galaxy S9 is extremely older and a little bit thicker than Motorola Edge (2024), it's construction is still a little bit lighter. Motorola Edge (2024) has a little more vivid display than Samsung Galaxy S9, because although it has a much lower resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels and much less pixels per display inch, it also counts with a quite bigger display.
Galaxy S9 features a much more powerful CPU than Motorola Edge (2024), although it has a smaller amount of RAM, they both have 8 cores. The Motorola Edge (2024) and Galaxy S9 both count with very similar cameras, because although the Motorola Edge (2024) has a tinier camera aperture which is not good for shooting photos and videos in low-light environments, and they both have the same (4K) video quality and the same video frame rate, it also counts with a way bigger sensor shooting way better quality photos and a back-facing camera with way more megapixels.
The Motorola Edge (2024) has more memory for games and applications than Galaxy S9, because although it has no external SD slot, it also counts with 192 GB more internal storage. The Motorola Edge (2024) counts with a really longer battery life than Galaxy S9, because it has a 5000mAh battery capacity against 3000mAh.
In addition to being the best phone between the ones we are comparing, Galaxy S9 is also by far the cheapest.
