Samsung Galaxy S22 is better than Galaxy S9, with a general score of 93.4 against 83.3. Samsung Galaxy S22's body is way newer and just a little bit thinner than the Galaxy S9's, but it's a little heavier. Galaxy S9 counts with a bit better performance than Samsung Galaxy S22, although it has less RAM memory, they both have 8 processing cores.
Samsung Galaxy S22 features a brighter screen than Samsung Galaxy S9, because although it has a much lower 1080 x 2340px resolution and a much worse pixels amount per screen inch, it also counts with a quite larger screen. Galaxy S22 features a very superior camera than Galaxy S9, because although it has a tinier camera aperture, it also counts with a way bigger sensor capturing more light and vivid colors, a way higher video quality and a back-facing camera with a lot better 50 MP resolution.
The Galaxy S9 counts with a bigger memory capacity for applications, games, photos and videos than Galaxy S22, because although it has only 64 GB internal memory capacity, it also counts with an external memory slot that allows a maximum of 400 GB. The Samsung Galaxy S22 has greater battery duration than Samsung Galaxy S9, because it has 3700mAh of battery capacity instead of 3000mAh.
Although Galaxy S22 is a better device, it is way more expensive than the Galaxy S9, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as Galaxy S9. So if you want that extra specs, you can buy Galaxy S22, otherwise you can save some money and get the Galaxy S9, resigning some specs and features.
