The Galaxy S9 is slightly better than the Samsung Galaxy XCover 5, with an 83.3 score against 78.1. Galaxy S9's body is a little lighter and a little thinner than the Samsung Galaxy XCover 5, despite of the fact that it was released 3 years before. Samsung Galaxy S9 counts with a sharper screen than Galaxy XCover 5, because it has a lot better resolution of 1440 x 2960px, a quite bigger display and a much better pixel amount per inch in the screen.

Galaxy S9 features a superior camera than Samsung Galaxy XCover 5, because although it has a back camera with a much worse 12 mega pixels resolution, it also counts with a bigger aperture to take better low light photos and a way higher 3840x2160 video definition. Galaxy XCover 5's battery life is very similar to the Galaxy S9 one.
