Galaxy Z Fold 2 is much better than the Samsung Galaxy S9, getting a score of 94.6 against 83.3. Although Galaxy Z Fold 2 is incredibly heavier than the Samsung Galaxy S9, it's somewhat thinner and also notably newer. Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2 features just a bit better hardware performance than Samsung Galaxy S9, and although they both have the same number of cores, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2 also has a larger amount of RAM memory.
Galaxy S9 has a bit sharper screen than Galaxy Z Fold 2, because although it has a much smaller screen, it also counts with a little bit higher resolution of 1440 x 2960px and a much higher display pixel density. Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2 counts with a quite bigger memory for games and applications than Galaxy S9, because although it has no slot for SD memory cards, it also counts with 256 GB internal storage.
The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2 shoots just a bit better videos and photos than Samsung Galaxy S9, because although it has a smaller diafragm aperture, and they both have a back camera with a 12 megapixels, the same (4K) video resolution and the same video frame rate, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2 also counts with a way larger back camera sensor capturing more light and vivid colors.
Galaxy Z Fold 2 counts with a much longer battery duration than Galaxy S9, because it has 4500mAh of battery capacity against 3000mAh.
Although Galaxy Z Fold 2 is a better device, it is way more expensive than the Samsung Galaxy S9, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as Samsung Galaxy S9. If you are trying to save some dollars, you can get Samsung Galaxy S9, giving up a couple features, but you will get the most with your money.
