Comparison review
Samsung Galaxy S9 is just a bit better than Xperia XZ Premium, getting an 83.3 score against 79.8. The Samsung Galaxy S9 construction is newer and somewhat lighter, but a little thicker than the Xperia XZ Premium. The Xperia XZ Premium has a better looking screen than Galaxy S9, because although it has a quite smaller display, it also counts with a better 2160 x 3840 resolution and a higher pixel count per inch in the screen.
Galaxy S9 counts with a bit better hardware performance than Xperia XZ Premium. Both have the same number of cores and the same RAM memory amount. Sony Xperia XZ Premium features a slightly better camera than Galaxy S9, because although it has lower 30 fps video frame rates and a lot tinier aperture which is not nice for low light captures, and they both have the same (4K) video resolution, the Sony Xperia XZ Premium also counts with a much more mega pixels back facing camera and a bigger sensor taking better quality videos and photographs.
Samsung Galaxy S9 counts with a bit more storage for applications and games than Xperia XZ Premium, and although they both have the same internal storage capacity, the Samsung Galaxy S9 also has an external memory slot that supports a maximum of 400 GB. The Xperia XZ Premium counts with a bit superior battery lifetime than Galaxy S9, because it has a 3230mAh battery size.
