Galaxy S9 is a little bit better than Xperia XZs, with a global score of 83.3 against 77.2. Although the Galaxy S9 is newer than Xperia XZs, it's just a little thicker and just a bit heavier. Samsung Galaxy S9 counts with a bit faster processing unit than Xperia XZs, and although they both have 4 GB of RAM, the Samsung Galaxy S9 also has a larger number of cores (and they are faster).
Samsung Galaxy S9 counts with a little sharper screen than Xperia XZs, because it has a better display density, a quite bigger screen and a much higher 1440 x 2960 pixels resolution. The Galaxy S9 features a superior storage for apps and games than Xperia XZs, because it has an external memory card slot that supports up to 400 GB and 32 GB more internal memory capacity.
Samsung Galaxy S9 has just a bit longer battery duration than Xperia XZs, because it has a 3000mAh battery capacity. Xperia XZs takes a lot better pictures and videos than Galaxy S9, because although it has a way tinier diafragm aperture which is not so good for low light captures and video, and they both have the same 3840x2160 (4K) video resolution, the Xperia XZs also counts with a back camera with lot more MP, a bigger back camera sensor capturing more light and vivid colors and faster 960 frames per second video frame rate.
