Comparison review
The Xiaomi Mi 8 is slightly better than the Galaxy S9, with an 83.3 score against 83.3. Even though Xiaomi Mi 8 and Galaxy S9 were released only 3 months apart, the Xiaomi Mi 8 design is a little bit thinner but a little bit heavier than Galaxy S9. The Xiaomi Mi 8 has just a little better hardware performance than Samsung Galaxy S9, and although they both have 8 CPU cores, the Xiaomi Mi 8 also has more RAM.
The Galaxy S9 has a little sharper screen than Xiaomi Mi 8, because although it has a little smaller screen, it also counts with a higher 1440 x 2960 pixels resolution and a better quantity of pixels per screen inch. The Xiaomi Mi 8 features a bigger storage to store more games and applications than Samsung Galaxy S9, because although it has no external memory slot, it also counts with more internal storage.
Samsung Galaxy S9 shoots just a bit better photos and videos than Xiaomi Mi 8, and although they both have a same resolution back camera, the same 3840x2160 (4K) video definition and the same back-facing camera sensor size, the Samsung Galaxy S9 also has a larger aperture for better low-light captures and faster video frame rates.
The Xiaomi Mi 8 counts with a little better battery life than Galaxy S9, because it has 3400mAh of battery capacity.
