Galaxy S9 has a score of 83.3, which is a bit better than the Xiaomi Mi Max 2's 77.5 general score. Even though Galaxy S9 is a bit thicker than the Xiaomi Mi Max 2, it's lighter and also newer. Galaxy S9 counts with a bit better processing unit than Xiaomi Mi Max 2. Both of them have a 4 GB RAM memory and 8 cpu cores.
Samsung Galaxy S9 counts with a sharper display than Xiaomi Mi Max 2, because although it has a little bit smaller screen, it also counts with a much better 1440 x 2960px resolution and a much greater pixel count per inch of display. Samsung Galaxy S9 features a slightly better camera than Xiaomi Mi Max 2, and although they both have a 12 mega pixels resolution camera and the same 3840x2160 (4K) video resolution, the Samsung Galaxy S9 also has a bigger back-facing camera sensor taking better quality pictures, better video frame rates and a much bigger aperture to take better images and videos in low-light situations.
Xiaomi Mi Max 2 counts with a little bit better storage for games and applications than Galaxy S9, because although it has a SD memory card expansion slot that holds 272 GB smaller, it also counts with more internal memory capacity. Xiaomi Mi Max 2 has a really longer battery duration than Galaxy S9, because it has 5300mAh of battery capacity against 3000mAh.
Even being the best phone of the ones we compare here, the Samsung Galaxy S9 is also by far the cheapest, making it a great choice.
